Yeah They have a home!

DENISE,

I CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU.......(Ozzy n Bowie)

I'M SO EXCITED LIKE A KID ON CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!!!!

JACKIE AND I PURCHASED A HOME AROUND CHRISTMAS OF LAST YEAR. IT HAS A RELATIVELY LARGE BACK YARD PLENTY OF SHADE AND GRASS FOR THE TWO BOYS. ALTHOUGH I DOUBT THAT THEY WILL SPEND MUCH TIME BACK THERE WITH FOUR KIDS AT HOME TO PLAY WITH PLUS ALL THE NEIGHBORHOOD CHILDREN. OUR YARD IS COMPLETELY FENCED IN THE BACK BY A 6' BLOCK WALL. THERE IS ONE "WALK THROUGH" GATE AT THE FRONT AND A "R.V." GATE THAT IS SCREWED PERMANENTLY SHUT. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT IT WOULD BE PLENTY SECURE TO KEEP THESE BOYS IN CHECK. THERE IS ALSO 3 NEIGHBORHOOD CATS THAT FREQUENT THE BACKYARD AND IT WOULD NOT BREAK MY HEART IF OZZY AND BOWIE KEPT THEM IN CHECK TOO. THE GATE ARE ALREADY PAD LOCKED FOR CHILD SECURITY REASONS.

WE CURRENTLY HAVE A SHITZU. BRUTUS, A.K.A. BUBBA, HE IS GETTING UP AROUND TEN OR SO NOW, BUT STILL HAS QUITE A FEW "PUPPY" QUALITIES. SUCH AS RUNNING ALL OVER THE HOUSE WHEN I GET HOME FROM WORK. CHASING THE OCCASIONAL SHOELACE WHEN IT IS BEING TIED. HE IS ALSO VERY MUCH IN LOVE WITH TENNIS BALLS. BEFORE JACKIE AND I GOT MARRIED LAST YEAR, MY OLD ROOMMATE WAS SO IMPRESSED BY BRUTUS, HE WENT TO FRIENDS FOR LIFE HERE IN TOWN AND BROUGHT HOME A PLAYMATE FOR BRUTUS.

ACTUALLY I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING THE BOYS TO OBEDIENCE TRAINING. IT WILL GIVE ME AN OPPORTUNITY TO SPEND SOME TIME WITH RYAN AND FOR US TO GET TO KNOW OZZY AND BOWIE AT THE SAME TIME.

OZZY AND BOWIE WOULD STAY AT THE HOUSE WITH JACKIE AND I DURING THE DAY. JACKIE IS A STAY AT HOME MOM, SO SHE WOULD BE THERE EXCEPT FOR THE DAILY RUNS TO SCHOOL WITH THE KIDS AND GROCERIES ETC...

I HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO ANY CRATE TRAINING AND I AM NOT QUIT SURE WHAT THAT IS. BUT I'LL GO DO SOME RESEARCH AS SOON AS I'M DONE WITH THIS EMAIL.

AS FAR AS VETS GO I DON'T REALLY HAVE A REGULAR ONE THAT WE SEE, BECAUSE BRUTUS IS A VERY HEALTHY ACTIVE SENIOR. HOWEVER, I HAVE TAKEN BRUTUS TO SEE ONE THAT IS THE UNCLE OF MY CLOSE FRIENDS WIFE. BRUTUS WAS SUFFERING FROM SOME SINUS PROBLEMS AND I TOOK HIM THERE TO GET THE SITUATION TAKEN CARE OF AND FIND OUT WHAT TO DO IN THE FUTURE.

I THINK THAT A HOME VISIT WOULD BE GREAT. I LOOK FORWARD TO IT.

JACKIE ASKED IF IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE FOR US TO SEE THESE BOYS RIGHT AWAY. LET ME KNOW IF THAT IS A POSSIBILITY. WE HAVE NOT YET TOLD THE KIDS ABOUT THEIR ARRIVAL. WE WANT TO SURPRISE ALL OF THEM NEXT WEEK. WE AS A FAMILY HAVE TALKED ABOUT ADDING A MEMBER TO OUR FAMILY. BUT WE HAD TALKED ABOUT ONE. NOW THAT WE ARE GETTING TWO, I KNOW THEY WILL BE TWICE AS THRILLED, HAVE TWICE AS MUCH FUN, AND UNFORTUNATELY FOR THE KIDS HAVE TO DO TWICE AS MUCH WORK. BUT THE REWARDS WILL BE TEN FOLD.

I'M EVEN THINKING ABOUT GETTING SOME CIGARS TO PASS OUT AT WORK!!!!!!

I FEEL LIKE AN EXPECTANT FATHER WAITING FOR THE STORK TO COME.

THANKS AGAIN,

DARYL, JACKIE, RYAN, KAYLA, SHANNON & DANIEL JAMES

This is the kind of family willing to do all that a puppy needs that we look for.

They just settled right in when they felt secure in their wire crate beds in the kitchen.  Just what they needed.  They will go to training with Four Paws Inn with dad and son.

Look at them at our adoptions on their blanket. They are so calm and loving!

Thank you Richard  for taking care of them for the past month.  They need a loving home where they love to run in a fenced in yard, and be able to lay around inside the house at your feet.

Would be great Therapy Dogs since they love everyone, are so mellow and relaxed around everyone and just lay at your feet.

Two 7 mos. Male PUrebred Walker Hound brothers Ozzy and Bowie

Lovable/Friendly pups.  need a home that has the time to crate train and obedience train the dogs. They are so smart that they learned sit and down with our volunteers the first day we brought them to Petsmart.  Everyone admires how beautiful, loving and calm they are. Adoption fee will include 7 weeks obedience training for both dogs.

A very big thank you to Julie and the staff at DOGMODE & Richard at SALTY DOGS for coming to the rescue and helping:

Thank you Audrey in Arizona for offering to foster and train these boys in Search and Rescue, Thanks for the pictures and for putting some weight on these skinny boys:

Thanks Brian and Amanda of Weimaraner Transportation for helping us get them there!  Thanks  Hound rescues in Canada and Texas for helping also Thank you!

This is what rescue organizations should be like "brothers and sisters working together to save more animals:"

You are welcome to send me (or Angie directly) a picture of each of the Walker Hounds, their approx. ages, why they are in Phx. area, who to contact (you or the foster family who now has), your deadline for adoption, the price for adoption, and any other info you think would be helpful.
Angie sets prices for Great Danes depending on age of animal, special needs, and what she had to put in to them (medical, etc).
I am just a volunteer. Angie can give you more info about the group. Feel free to contact either of us.

Jan Sniderman

Be well and good luck with your saveadog mission. I feel like we're your sisters -- doing the same kind of work as you do in Utah. Great talking with you today. Hugs!

CARMEL is a prime example of all the millions of kittens born every Spring to  cats that were dumped by their owners.  His mother had her litter under a home, and brought this little one to one of our volunteers on his porch to help with his infected eye.  He is recooperating and eating kitten formula well. After a week of bottle feeding, he is eating well on his own now.  He is being socialized with people, dogs and other cats. He loves to cuddle, play with and tries to nurse on the small dogs like Littleman here.  They love to curl up together, it is so adorable. He will be available for adoption June 14th in Park City. We tried to find the littermates, but fear they were killed, feral mom has been hard to trap, but will keep trying so we can have her Spayed.  Thank goodness she brought this little one to one of our volunteers to save.  8 weeks old now and loves to sit on your lap or under your shirt as you sit.  Very Gorgeous boy. Vaccinated, dewormed and tested.  Very healthy.  Will be neutered next week.  Thanks Gumper family for adopting him with Mr. Bells and Buster.

What is Save A Dog & Kids Program about?

PAWSITIVE PRAISE FOR PEACE!

Were you aware that donations for Charity and Youth Programs in 2002/2003 are so low that not only food, clothes and necessities are needed, but all After School Programs for Homeless and Under-priviledged kids have been cut.  Federal research on Anti-gang, Anti-drugs, Anti-violence and Anti-juvenile delinquency states that the most successful deterants are After School Programs with positive activities for kids.  Kids commit most of the crimes during the hours after school.  Help us bring positive activities to the underpriviledged kids Youth Programs,YMCA After School Programs,  Youth Detention Centers and other youth facilities all over the US.

A HUMANE EDUCATION TODAY, YIELDS A MORE COMPASSIONATE SOCIETY TOMORROW

In our program kids learn compassion, responsibility and service through helping train and care for homeless puppies.  They learn the benefits of positive praise and the rewarding satisfaction of training a helpless puppy.  They gain confidence, self esteem and many more values that will help them in their lives.  What a perfect match: Kids and Dogs!

Donations, volunteers and sponsors are desperately needed.
