THE PERFECT COMPANION DOG

SAMSON

                                                                                (puppy on far right corner)

Samson when we rescued him as a cute German Shepherd mix puppy dumped at the shelter. He retrieved right away because he was so smart.

We rescued him as a cute little loving 8 week old puppy from the shelter 3 yrs ago, and after 3 sets of shots, dewormings, neuter, microchip, crate training, obedience training and socialization, he found a home in Utah with a couple who pretended to be married. WE delivered him to their home and it seemed to be wonderful, but less than 6 mos. later the Murray Animal Control called us looking for his owner. I found the owner who had moved out from his girlfriend's home and had no place to take Samson and was leaving him outside unattended all day and he was running away. So he asked us to take Samson back. Samson was no longer trained and we had to do lots of training. But then we found a retired single man who promised to keep him for life as his companion. We have seen them many times in the last 3 yrs and he has told us that Samson is the best dog, sleeps with him, goes everywhere in the car with him and stays in his home with him perfectly even when he is gone for hours.

Samson 10 mos old at adoptions with volunteer from West Jordan Police Department.  He was always so loving and handsome AND EVERYONE FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS BIG TEDDY BEAR.  He was perfectly trained.

Samson 1 yr old at Orem Petco Grand Opening being adopted by 62 year old Raymond who lived alone, brought him into his house to sleep with him, follow him around the house all day, ride everywhere in the car with him, and was the only companion to him until 2.5 years later when the new wife decided to make money breeding purebred German Shepherds and had Raymond buy two purebreds, and threw Samson outside in a dog kennel with just a dog carrier, and now wants Raymond to give him up since "he is not worth anything, but these two purebred German Shepherds are, so we have to keep them, according to the wife."  The Lehi Animal Control Officer called when the wife threatened to "dump Samson on Eagle Mountain,"  and when Raymond refused, then she threatened to take him to the animal shelter, until the officer  got her to agree to wait until Jan 3rd, 2004 and then Samson will be given back to us.  Raymond tried to get his wife to listen to him to allow him to keep his best friend and companion of 3 years, but she will not and he cannot stand up to her he told the officer and our rescue. This is such a sad story.   He is such an easy going and lovable perfect house dog. Please call asap at 801-225-6491 or 801-808-4424 and leave a message if you can help. We are looking for his pictures in our albums, he was the cuttest puppy.

I AM CALM, LOVING WITH EVERYONE, GENTLE AND JUST WANT TO LAY AT YOUR FEET ALL DAY. He never jumps up, he is quiet in the house, and this Angel deserves a wonderful loving companion that will make that lifetime commitment. HE LOVES TO JUST LAY AT YOUR FEET IN THE HOUSE, WALK OUTSIDE TO POTTY AND COME BACK IN TO BE WITH YOU. HE JUMPS RIGHT INTO THE EXTRA LARGE CARRIER IN OUR 4 RUNNER AND WALKS RIGHT INTO ONE IN THE HOUSE IF YOU LIKE, BUT HE IS PERFECTLY HOUSE TRAINED AND DOESN'T NEED ONE!  HE DOES EVERYTHING YOU ASK HIM!  YOU CAN'T ASK FOR A BETTER DOG! HE LOVES EVERYONE HE MEETS, GREAT WITH KIDS, DOGS & CATS.  They don't get better than this guy or sweeter.  He has tall legs and most tall dogs need INNERLIGHT'S LL ORTHOPLEX I  Glucosamine (you can order it on our STORE 2 and not only help your dog, but also the rescued dogs) to slow down the degeneration of their hips.  It works great by putting drops under their tongue and it is safe.  It helps prevent any arthritis. Thank you Linda for ordering it and starting him on it.

When Linda invited Denise to her daughter's home who just recently adopted Bailey the Basset mix puppy, they all noticed that Samson's right rear leg was really hurting him.  Denise rushed him to Brookside Animal Hospital for Dr. Taylor to Xray his leg and hips and see what was wrong.  We fear that maybe something happened to Samson in his prior home and he was not given proper medical care.  We desperately need  Donor Angels to help us with medical costs for Samsons knee surgery.  And he needs a loving companion that will let him retire the rest of his life with them.  He is really amazing and perfectly housetrained and just wants to follow you all over and lay at your feet.  He is very loving, as loyal as a German Shepherd, and the best housedog.  Thank you Linda and Rand for fronting the surgery bill until we take in donations to reimburse you. And thank you Linda for helping Samson rehabilitate with you in your lovely home as you rehabilitate from a broken foot too, ride  in the car with you, and just have the best treatment in your calm home. We are trying to collect $500 total for all of Samson's costs.  Collection boxes are found at Brookside Animal Hospital in West Jordan, 1300 W. 7220 S. and some Davis County Animal Hospitals and Banfield at Petsmart.  Any little donation helps, Thank You!   THANK YOU PAM FOR ADOPTING HIM AND FLYING DENISE AND SAMSON OUT TO YOUR WONDERFUL HOME.  PAM DOES COLLECTOR CARDS AND HAS ASKED US TO PUT TOGETHER DOG OWNERSHIP TIPS FOR A "COURSE ON CARDS" FOR KIDS!! tHIS IS GREAT!  COME SEE SAMSON'S NEW MOM PICS OF HIS TRIP TOO

What is Save A Dog & Kids Program about?

PAWSITIVE PRAISE FOR PEACE!

Were you aware that donations for Charity and Youth Programs in 2002/2003 are so low that not only food, clothes and necessities are needed, but all After School Programs for Homeless and Under-priviledged kids have been cut.  Federal research on Anti-gang, Anti-drugs, Anti-violence and Anti-juvenile delinquency states that the most successful deterants are After School Programs with positive activities for kids.  Kids commit most of the crimes during the hours after school.  Help us bring positive activities to the underpriviledged kids Youth Programs,YMCA After School Programs,  Youth Detention Centers and other youth facilities all over the US.

A HUMANE EDUCATION TODAY, YIELDS A MORE COMPASSIONATE SOCIETY TOMORROW

In our program kids learn compassion, responsibility and service through helping train and care for homeless puppies.  They learn the benefits of positive praise and the rewarding satisfaction of training a helpless puppy.  They gain confidence, self esteem and many more values that will help them in their lives.  What a perfect match: Kids and Dogs!

Donations, volunteers and sponsors are desperately needed.
