NEW STRAIN OF BORDATELLA    CURE  WITH CLAVAMOX
April 2004

There is a mutated strain of kennel cough going through all dogs.
The Bordatella shot does nothing for this strain.  Once the dog gets
the cough, it goes into a secondary infection which goes into their
lungs.  There is no antidote for this.  It is a virus and must run
its course as they all do.  Young dogs are extremely susceptible to
the virus.  It is all over the United States.  The dogs that come
down with this have to be given fluids as they become extremely
dehydrated which makes for outrageous vet bills as well.
Dogs are dying from this strain and the ones that make it through,
it takes weeks to recover from.

Upon putting the gram negative rod ( growth) on a slide they claim it is NOT pseudomonas ( thank god) but E.Coli ( if you can't trust Cornell, who can you trust ??) and treatable with Clavamox.

Please share this information as you see fit.
