ROCKY AND DACHSHUNDS LIKE HIM NEED DACHSHUND EXPERIENCED HOMES

ROCKY, mom and his new little sister ZUZU who is a 9 mos old purebred Dapple Dachshund.  They are both going to have so much fun playing together.  Mom has no children and told us: "these are my children."  In memory of her sweet 10 yr old Vizla she had to put down due to health problems, we are so thrilled Rocky will have such a devoted and loving mom.  These dogs never go outside without Caprice home or on a leash.  They always have their tags on, and Caprice was ready with Rocky's new tag right away.  This is a responsible mom.

Dachshunds have extra long backs that are very fragile and if dropped or mishandled or jumping too high, their backs can be injured more easily than other dogs.  For this reason most Dachshund experts prefer not placing them in homes with children under 10.

Hi Denise,
I wanted to give you an update on Rocky.  First, I did change his name and he is adjusting to that very well.
He is now Baron Ziegfreid (Ziggy) Der Weinersnitzel, AKA the Red Baron or Zig Meister. 8-)

ZooZoo and Ziggy get along famously, and are having a great time!  He is developing an interest in toys and is getting plenty of exercise racing around the house.  He seems to be a water dog like ZooZoo, and has jumped in the shower uninvited a couple of times.

They are they most delightful companions!  Will send a pic soon.
Thanks! -Capryce

More happy Dachshund endings:

Nikita and her son Andre are PUrebred Mini BLack and Tan Dachshunds.  They are the most loving, well trained, quiet, calm, and adorable little pair. Andre has a small heart which stunted his growth and keeps him calmer.  They sleep in the same bed or sit on a chair together next to you while you are at the computer.  They get along with other small dogs and cats.  No kids though since their backs are very fragile as a breed.  Perfect retired person companions. Their owner passed away and a family who adopted a Dachshund from us referred his roomate to us.   Thank you to everyone who looked at these little sweethearts. They now will have the best Dachshund home with the Bonackis. Together with Skippy they look out the window at the countryside.  We really love little Andre, he will always have a special place in our hearts.  The Bonackies are experience Dachshund owners and retired.  They walk them everyday with harnesses and sweaters on leash.
