"Denise,
 
I was thinking about you and wondering how you are doing. I sent you an e-mail a couple of days ago to tell you that my little Pookieman went to heaven on 9/7/08. I was holding him so he was not alone, his little heart stopped. He had a weak heart valve, not much can be done for that.  I was SO SAD, I am doing better now.
Please let me know how you are doing.

02/04/08 "Pookieman is doing great, he had his yearly vet check at my new vet.  He has is having a couple of teeth pulled, but he weighs 11lbs and the other dogs are so good with him.  He sleeps in my bed, and is alway on a feeding schedule.  I do keep his hair short, it is eaiser to bath him. I just love the little guy so much and thank you so much for letting me have him.. Take care, Nikki"   Thank you Nikki for the donation, we sure needed it!!!

08/29/07  Pookieman has the most wonderful mom and we are so thankful because after suffering probably all his life such cruelty, he is now so happy and pampered the way he deserves. Thank you NIkki!

I finally figured out the camera, it has taken too long. Here are a few photo's with more to come. Pookie is such a delight, I just love him so much.  He sleeps in my bed every night. I promised him he would never be left alone again. He is very healthy, I make sure he gets walks daily, as he needs to build muscle and confidence.  He is bossy and a little stubborn, he is certainly a Pekingese. Have you changed your pay pal account, I tried to send you $25.00 and you never picked it up. So let me know what it is now. 
How is your soldier, will he be home in Sept.?

POOKIE a purebred Pekingese is just the most loving and trusting little boy. He was so matted that shaving  him down to skin took 5 lbs. off, needs a dental/shots/microchip, check up and is getting treatment for kennel cough, eye infection, skin sores from matted fur, and checked out his overall health.   Thank you Nikki for the $600 for Pookie's eye treatments, etc.  (his health check up with shots went well)THank you Nikki for donation from Idaho to help his eye be saved by surgery.Yeah POOkie is going to  the best Peke experienced home with the most wonderful mom. thanks Nikki

 

Pookie is so gorgeous now and so relaxed, loving and appreciative.   We are so happy Mike Morgan, director of South Utah County Animal Shelter called Denise to save him after no other rescue would take him for three weeks after he was picked up on the streets with 5 lbs. of matting that covered his eyes and destroyed one of them.  His skin and fur is so soft and healthy now. His left eye has healed from his ulcer too.

 

"We arrived home, and things are going great.  He loves the backyard when I take him out with the others to potty. He loves to be hugged, just like you said. My dogs are nice to him but a little jealous. This weekend or sooner I will send some photo's. Bye for now, take care."
